And you have to admit, this is like twice in one month. That's good for me :P.
So yesterday was my 3 month anniversary of working for Disney. It's hard to believe that I've been here that long, and it's even harder to believe that I only have 40 some odd days left. I feel like there is SO MUCH that I wanted to do, and I never accomplished it. I feel like I wasted so much of my short time here on petty things like sleep and laundry. I feel like I don't have enough time left to really finish my Disney to-do list. I feel like I should have applied for an extension...
So why didn't I?
Well, everyone says that when you come here and do a CP, you either love it or you hate it...that there is no in between. Well, I found this to be untrue. I feel that over all my CP was in between. There are moments when I love it, and there are also moments when I don't want to do it anymore. I guess I ended up letting my mixed feelings get the best of me, and didn't even try to apply for an extension.
However, I will say this. I could see myself getting into this pattern and living this lifestyle for the rest of my life...and being perfectly okay with it. The cast member lifestyle is pretty much the only one that I've ever 100% felt like I fit in to. It's very repetitive, day-in and day-out. Get up, go to work, come home, spend time with roommates, sleep. Repeat the next day. On my off days, get up, go play in a park, come home. But I like that. I like being a cast member. I really could see Disney as my lifetime job. But I don't like being a CP, and I'm scared to try and just jump in and go full time.
So I guess the plan for now looks something like this: I'm going to try to apply for seasonal. I'm going to go home in January as planned. I'm going to go back to school, and I'm going to actually try this time. I'm going to re-apply for the CP after I turn 21. I'm going to actually go to the character auditions...and I'm going to come back. From there, I'm going to decide if this is what I want for my life...and if it is I'm moving here for good and going full time. At this point, the dream job would be Vacation Planner or Guest Relations tour guide. I feel like I'd be good at either one of those two jobs. Annndd, if not...then I will have Disney in my memories and amazing stories to tell my children and then their children.
I guess that's all for now

Oh heyyyy long forgotten blog...how are ya?!
Oops. Sorry y'all. The life of a CP is a busy one...and a repetitive one. I really haven't had much to talk about. It's pretty much same thing different day. Get up, go to work, come home. On off days, play in parks. There really isn't much more to it. Butttt, lets see what I can pull out for you guys.
The Halloween parties are completely over now. I went to the Poly and watched the last Hallowishes with my roommate Mandi...and yes...I cried. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it kind of hit me that it was probably the last time I'd ever see Hallowishes...at least for 10 years or more. It also put into perspective that my CP is already half way over. I think we have something like 9 or 10 weeks left here, and I feel like I've wasted the majority of it. I still have barley tried to hang out with anyone besides my roommates. I have only been to WWoHP once and that was before I even checked in for my CP. I still haven't done a whole bunch of the things that I was planning to do. Sooo, my goal for the rest of my program is to GET ON THAT!
All of the Christmas decorations have been put up finally, and my lord they are gorgeous! That is truly Disney magic at it's finest. The Christmas parties began last night, I believe...and I desperately need to get my ticket to that. We only get discounts for the November parties, so I'll probably be going at the end of this month at some point. Allegedly, we are going to be absolutely miserably dead for the first two weeks of December, and then so busy that we're running around like chickens with our heads cut off for pretty much the rest of our program. I think I'm okay with this, though, as I'd rather be busy then dead.
Working at "Mom's House" is (for the most part) entertaining. The only bad thing is that we only have a total of 78 tables, and on busy nights we can get up to an hour behind reservation times...and then we get yelled at. But, it's not our fault. We can't control when people get up from the tables, and that's pretty much completely what it depends on. I've been yelled at in several different languages now...it's quite interesting. Butttt, on good days...it's nice to see the servers do their little skits. They are completely improv, and I absolutely love watching them work. The idea of "magical moments" in our restaurant is a bit different from the normal idea. At prime time, a magical moment could consist of naughty children having to take the dishes to the kitchen, or of someone having to put their nose in the corner for leaving their elbows on the table. I love watching youtube, and being able to see things that I was there for on the internet. It's really a whole lot of fun.
I guess that's it for now. I'm actually sitting in my costume as I type, about to get ready for work. If anyone actually does still read this...feel free to comment with questions or just to say hi...

One month down, 3 more to go.
Hi guys! I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in so long...but I've been so busy since I got here! I don't even know where to start about the last month. I guess the point of this blog is to give you some tips on how to do things once you're down here.
Tip #1: Unless you just love being stuck in crowds, Wishes is every bit as good from the Polynesian...where you can watch it while lying on the beach. Spent the day at MK? Try watching it from the TTC instead.
Tip #2: If you want to ride Toy Story Midway Mania, either make friends with one of the people who work there, or get to DHS super early...they run out of fast passes at like 10 am everyday.
Tip #3: You can get a new nametag with you hometown on it instead of your college so that people don't know that you're a CP...and if you trade in your CP nametag...then it is free! Otherwise it is $5. You can do this at costuming.
Tip #4: On nights when Magic Kingdom closes early, everyone will be at EPCOT. On nights when DHS has Fantasmic, DHS will be super packed. Anytime that there is extra magic hours for later than normal closing time at any park, the park that has the EMH will be the most crowded one that day. My advice is to avoid all of these days altogether.
Tip #5: Before you buy ANYTHING merchandise wise, check and make sure that it is not being sold at Cast Connection, Company D, or Property Control first.
Ok guys, I have worked open to close every night for the last week, and I just got off of work for today. However, I am off tomorrow and the next day...and will try to either update this more or do a vlog. No promises though!

All Checked In!
Hi guys! Ok, so yesterday I checked in to the Disney College Program. WOW, that was absolutely exhausting...and also surprisingly efficient. My roommates and I all met up at the Sunspree lobby at 6:45. We then drove over to Vista and got in line around 7:15. They started letting people in around 8, which was nice because it was already starting to get hot and they weren't supposed to let us in until 9. We went through and got a nametag and our program guides at the first station. At the second station we were given some documents to fill out. If I remember right, the third station was where we got our housing assignment. Sadly, since Ariana is doing the Culinary program instead of the College Program...she was not able to room with us. That left us one roommate short for a 2 br...and when that happens they make you choose between a 1 or a 3. We went ahead and chose a 3 since it is cheaper anyway. Then Mandi went and picked our our apartment complex. Sadly, they did not have anymore available in Chatham...so we had to go to Patterson instead. I'm actually glad about this...because a 3 br in Patterson is actually cheaper than an 2 br in Chatham would have been. After that they take your housing ID picture. Mine turned out AWFUL, but they say everyones does. Then you go to register your car. After that, you are given a time for casting and you housing meeting.
Casting, honestly, is just a big blur to me. It went by so quickly...and it felt like we were doing the same thing at every stop. However, I'll try to recall it...
First you are put into a line in the hallway, and you have to show them that you have done your on-boarding paperwork. Then you are told where you will be working. I'm at the 50s Primetime Cafe in DHS. Then you go in and fill out massive amounts of paperwork, and sign massive amounts of contracts. Then you go to a station where they give you your paycard. Then they fingerprint you to make sure that you check out alright. Then you are taken to a room where they give you flyers about the classes that Disney offers. Then you go and find out when you'll be having Traditions and also you will get your schedule for your first two days of training. Then they take your picture that says welcome to the CP...and you're off to go check out your apartment.
My apartment is REALLY nice. As I stated before, I'm in a Patterson 3 bedroom. The only problem that I have with it so far is that there are 5 shelves in the pantry and 6 people living here. Still don't know how that's gonna work out yet. Since we had to get a 3 br instead of a 2...we now had 3 random roomies that we didn't know. Thankfully, they are all super awesome, and I really like them a lot. So then last night after we got all settled in and everything, we were bored. So Mandi, Kristyne, Brandi, and I went to the Polynesian and got dole whips and watched the fireworks. This was my first time to ever see Wishes...and let me tell you...they were nothing short of AMAZING, ASTONISHING, and WONDERFUL! After that we decided to get on the monorail and ride it around once just to do it. THAT was interesting lol.
So that was pretty much check-in in a nutshell :).
Here is my post check in vlog...oh yeah but most of it is HP world!!

I'm HERE!!!!!!
Ok, so I got in last night around 8 pm. After checking in to the Sunspree, my family and I went to DTD...however we didn't stay long because it was Friday night and they were CRAZY packed! We made reservations at Planet Hollywood, but we wouldn't have been able to get a table until 10:45...so we left and ate at Wendy's instead haha.
Today we are going to MK, tomorrow Harry Potter, and then on Monday I check in! I think while I'm checking in my family is going to DHS or DAK.
My mom's not too happy about the CP...she says Orlando looks too dangerous. I think that she will feel much better after I've checked in and she sees my apartment and how much security there really is. I've been trying to find Vista...but no luck yet. I'm guessing that it's behind Wendy's where all of those tall trees are...but I'm not 100% sure. Luckily, my roommate Mandi has already done the program once so she will know where it is and where to go and whatnot.

This is a pic of what a hot mess my car is...I have no clue how I'm gonna get all that stuff back home!
So it took me about 12 hours overall to get here. We ended up leaving Thursday night around 8:30 and drove about 3 1/2 hours to Prattville, AL. Then we woke up Friday morning and drove the rest of the way.
Ok, well I guess that's it for now...I might update again later when I get back from MK!

New Vlog and Leaving in 2 days
Okay, so first and foremost: I have a new vlog up...click here to view.
Well, I leave in two days. Had a "family meeting" last night to discuss travel plans. As of right now we are arriving Friday, going to Islands of Adventure (HOGWARTS!) on Saturday. Going to MK on Sunday, with pre-arrival dinner Sunday night at 8 pm. And then Monday while I'm checking in my family is going to DAK since they're only open until 5pm that day anyway. These plans will most likely change...but this is it as of now. I'm so excited/nervous about everything. I just so hope that everything goes well and that I can finish this and say with pride that I survived the Disney College Program!
My car is (mostly) packed up...and everything fits (but just barely)! The only things that I have yet to do is even look at which travel route we are taking (I probably rely WAYYY to much on my GPS), and ask my dad exactly how much money he is putting into my checking account. I have about $200 from my yard sales and whatnot, but I'm pretty sure that it's not nearly enough. I hate asking my dad for money...it's the #1 worry in his life and asking him for even $20 stresses him out majorly. Add to that the fact that I need like $800, and that he is going to have to spend that much JUST for them to get into the Disney Parks for the 2 days we're there...and we are talking about a majorly stressed pops. Ughhh...
My suggestion to any future CPs? GET A JOB! Even if it's just a summer job...to raise a little bit of money for yourself on your CP. I tried to get one...but I made the mistake of waiting until after my birthday (June 29) because you have to be 19 to work anywhere that serves alcohol or cigarettes in Alabama. By that time nobody would hire me because it was too close to my leaving time. So my advice? Apply about mid-May for a summer job...and save at least $300 of your own for your CP. It's really gonna help a whole lot.
Also, I've been trying to practice sleeping in a twin bed by sleeping in my little brother's instead of my own. I know this sounds a little obsessive...but (a) he never sleeps in his own bed anyway and (b) I really don't want to fall off when I get there lol. It seems to be working out alright for me, but we will see :).
OK, I guess that's all for now. I'm going to pack some more of my car up before it starts t-storming again.
Have a magical day, as I know that in 2 days all of mine will be<3

For the record...
And as I have been telling you guys all along...
It is indeed hotter in Alabama than it is in Florida (and yes, the humidity is worse here too!). PS--I took these last night, which is why it only says 80-ish degrees.
Today is my going away party. I will post pics of that later tonight or maybe tomorrow. Also, look for a new vlog VERY soon. It will be a random jumble of my (surprisingly busy) past week.
ALSO:
I have recently learned that the whole packing process is a HOT MESS! I have no clue how I'm going to be able to fit all of this into my tiny car, but I am determined and will find a way!

Sorry.....
Hey yall! Sorry I haven't posted in so long...but there's really been nothing to talk about! A lot of the Fall 2010 CPs have checked in, gone through Traditions, and have started training already...and I'm still just waiting at home. I am so bi-polar on how I feel about that right now. I mean, sometimes when I'm reading about how much fun other CPs are having...and how I could be there RIGHT NOW having fun right along with them...it really gets to me. But then on the other hand, I'm starting to really realize how much I'm going to miss my family and my boyfriend and my friends...and I'm glad I've gotten to spend a little bit more time with them.
So--basically I've just been doing some rearranging on my packing...and starting to pack up some of my clothes, which is a whole lot harder than I thought it would be. I've always been the type to overpack...I like to keep my options open with my clothes. I generally pack 8 days worth of clothes for a 3 day trip...so naturally I want to take everything in my closet. However, I don't have the room in my tiny car to do that. So pretty much I've decided that I'm taking 2 northface jackets, and like 3 hoodies for my winter clothes (which is probably all that I'll need anyway). I'm taking 6 pairs of blue jeans. I'm taking my Disney Look outfits, and the rest will be summer-ish attire...which I'm pretty sure will be plenty. However, if it's not plenty...then I can always buy more when I'm there.
My going away party is tomorrow...and I am waiting on that to get more footage for my vlog...then I will do my last vlog until Disney.
I leave in 6 days. I check in in 19.
I'm slightly freaking out.

Things to do/Things I've gotten done
15 days until I leave! I'm so excited! Although, it seems like since I hit August...the days go by slower and slower. Anyway...I have been productive lately...and have gotten A LOT of things off of my old things to do before Disney list done. So here is what I've gotten done and what I still have to do :)
THINGS I'VE GOTTEN DONE:
-Cleaned out car
-Got oil changed
-Got tires rotated
-Washed and waxed car
-Got front bumper fixed
-Got paperwork from insurance company about car
-Got paperwork from insurance company about renter's insurance
-Filled out on-boarding paperwork
-Got most of my shopping done
-Got jeans, winter clothes, random stuff, and bedding packed.
-Had a yard sale and got rid of a whole bunch of junk in my room (to make what I actually need to take with me stand out a bit more)
-Booked hotel room for Holiday Inn Sunspree
-Found housemates!
-Found Disney Look outfits
THINGS I STILL NEED TO DO:
-Talk to housemates and figure out who is bringing what.
-Buy a few more things for my apartment
-Pack the rest of my clothes
-Sort clothes into what I'll need before I move into my apartment and what can wait until after I move in.
-Talk to housemates and try to set up a meeting for the night before check-in to discuss the day of check-in
-Get a copy of my birth certificate
So there you have it! Wow, I have a lot more done than I thought I did lol. Well, 15 long and painful days left and then I will be in DISNEYYY<3
Also, good luck to all of those who check in before me! Y'all be safe on the roads and HAVE FUN for me while you're there without me! Be sure to take LOTS of pictures so that I can live vicariously through you until I get there haha.

New Disney Look Outfits!
Ok, so my grandmother (who is very technologically advanced and watches my vlogs) saw my vlog about Disney Look outfits and was kind enough to buy me some more that are a bit more professional! She bought me 4 outfits, and here are the pics:
Outfit #1
Outfit #2
Outfit #3
Outfit #4
Ok, so outfits 1 and 2 are 100% within the Disney Look. They have sleeves, are not low cut, and fall right at the knee. Outfit #3 is in the Disney look except for I'm not sure if the straps are thick enough, so I'm wearing that jacket-y thing over it just to be safe. Outfit #4 I'm a little worried about. It's pretty low-cut and also I KNOW that the straps aren't thick enough. However, I really like it, and so I'm just going to throw a cami underneath it (to fix the low neckline) and wear the jacket-y thing on top of it.
Since Traditions is where the Disney Look outfits REALLY count...I'm going to wear outfit #1, it seems to be the safest option. What do you guys think?
Show me your Disney Look outfits!

Formspring Questions
What is the thing you want to do when your in disney?
Non Disney Related: Go to Hogwarts and drink Butterbeer!
Disney Related: Ride every ride, get an autograph from every character, and eat at every restaurant in the World Showcase. Possibly own one thing from every country as well.

Have you made any friends from the DCP yet?
As far as TRUE friends go, no not yet. The only reason that I say this is because I'm still not there yet, though! I'm sure that I will be great friends with my 3 lovely roomies and the several other people that I talk to often once I get down there and actually get to meet them!
What are you looking forward to the most for the DCP?
Honestly, I'm looking forward to getting out and learning how to live on my own. Everyone talks about all of the networking opportunities that the CP offers, but no one really thinks about the life lessons that come along with it. On my CP, I'm going to learn how to budget my money, buy my own groceries, and work at a job that I can't just up and quit if I don't like it. You know, basically learning how to live without my parents helping me.
ALSO: I GOT NEW CLOTHES FOR THE DISNEY LOOK....SO ILL BE DOING A RE-DO BLOG/VLOG VERY SOON ON THAT :)

We need ONE MORE roommate!
Ahhhhh! I have 4 roommates, but I need ONE more! Ariana needs someone to room with her, and so far we've found nothing! She is such a sweet girl, and I really want to be her roommate, but if we can't find her one I'm afraid that that wont happen :(. So, if ANYONE is checking in 8/23 and is under 21...PLEASE let me know! If anyone knows anyone under these specifics, send their FB profile my way. Thanks :)

We are in the hub!
So today, I checked the WDW website and my role has disappeared! This, for those of you who don't already know, means that we (meaning me and all of the other 8/23 arrivals) have been put into the hub! This means that a work location has been selected for us! I'm DYING to know mine! I JUST REALLY WANNA KNOW!! I hope I can find out!

Thoughts on Extending my Program.
I know that it is way to early to even really think about extending my program. I mean, I don't know whether I'm going to like it there. I don't know whether I'll be in good standing by the end of my program. I don't know if I'll have to go home early...I don't know any of these things. However, I talked to my college today...and apparently because I'm going to be out for one semester, I will have to reapply to be able to take classes in the spring. I know that reapplying will be no big deal because I haven't transfered or anything...but what I don't know is if I will be able to do so online or not. If not, then I probably won't be able to go back to school until Fall 2011. If that ends up being the case, I was thinking that I might extend my program until May 2011 (given that the circumstances are good enough). Then I can come home in may, apply and get re-registered for school during the summer, and be back for Fall 2011. Has anyone else thought about this? Is my school the only one that requires it's students to reapply for missing one semester? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Disney Look Outfits, yes or no?
Hmm, I think I'm going to have to start whoring my blogs...after 3 months I still only have 10 followers...and I have no clue if those 10 followers actually read this or not. Anyway--
So, I cleaned out my car and dug through my closet...and I think I might have actually found 3 outfits that are within the Disney Look. If I'm wrong, please let me know...
Outfit #1:
For this outfit, I intend on buying a plain black baby doll t-shirt to go under it, because I'm not sure if the straps are wide enough.
Outfit #2:
For this outfit, I'm intending on wearing a black tank top underneath, so that the neckline is not too revealing.
Outfit #3:
I'm not too sure about this one yet, because the black pants are going to be really hot. If I do choose to wear this, I will wear a black tank top underneath the top so that the neckline will not be too low.
Shoes:
These black flats from Target were only $17.99. They are professional, yet comfortable and I think that they will pair well with all 3 outfits.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, so everyone let me know what you think about those, because I'm really unsure.
Okay thanks have a magical day :D

Happy Birthday to MEEEEE!
So today is my 19th birthday...which means I FINALLY get to see Toy Story 3! Too bad that today is also the day that Eclipse releases at midnight and I'll probably be crammed in the movie theater with a bunch of twilighters....oh well haha. My birthday has been good so far. I got an iPhone 4...which has video calling among other cool stuff. I will probably make a vlog on it very soon :). It also has iBooks...and though it doesn't have Harry Potter...it does have several FREE books that are awesome, including Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Winnie The Pooh :).
On another note, I think I've found all three of my Disney Look outfits! I cleaned out my car and found one outfit that I can wear, then I bought one with my birthday money, and I already had one...totaling three in all. I will post pics of them very soon :).
Also--my roomie Mandi and I are looking for housemates! We are under 21, check in 8/23, and want to live in Chatham Square in a 2 or 3 br. Mandi has already done the CP once and therefore knows what she is doing haha. If you're interested, please let me know :)
Follow me on twitter! Friend me on Facebook! The links are over there ---->
Alrighty, that's it for now. Have a magical day ;)

Things to do before Disney
Here's what I've come up with so far:
(1) Clean out my car.
(2) Get oil changed and tires rotated and have an overall "car checkup".
(3) Acquire a notarized letter from my insurance company saying that I have permission to use my car during my Disney adventure.
(4) Find at least one more outfit that is within the Disney Look.
(5) Locate my Harry Potter twin sized bedding from when I was a kid.
(6) Figure out what to pack, and then pack it all up.
Okay, so that's all that I've come up with so far. I know that this is probably not even the beginning to all of the things that I need to do...so if anyone has any suggestions...I will gladly accept them.
Thanks and have a magical day :)

TWO MONTHS TO GOOOOOOO!
Today is two months exactly until I check in for my college program. 61 days. Can I just say WOW?! I remember when I first got my acceptance and I had like 150 something days left. I can also remember seeing the fall advantage people's countdowns when they had 60ish days and being SO JEALOUS! Now that's me! Well, I suppose that I need to start getting organized. I need to figure out what I need to buy before I go down there. I need to organize my professional outfits within the Disney Look. I need to start packing. I need to get with my roomie and figure out who is bringing what. I need to get with my roomie and discuss finding housemates....oh my goodness! So much to do in such a little amount of time! The closer that I get to my check-in date, the more nervous/excited/anxious I get. Hopefully these next two months won't drag by!

YAYYYYYYYYYYY!
Okay, so apparently the girl that Disney matched me with opted out of the roommate match, so that left me to fine someone else. This is a good thing, because me and that girl probably would not have gotten along. Soooo, I found a new roomie and made it official! Her name is Mandi, and she is pretty much just like me haha. She likes Glee and Harry Potter. She wants to live in Chatham (as do I). Annnddd, she's already done the program once, so she's gonna know where to go and what to do on check-in day. So excited :).
On another note, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of my new (and old) followers! I really honestly thought that nobody read this, but y'all have proved me wrong :). Maybe I'll start blogging more now!
Okay, that's it. If anyone has any ideas on what I can blog on, that'd be great!
Here's a link to my vlog, by the way :)

So, I officially fail at blogging...
Okay...well it's been like two months since I've blogged. I know that's a long time, and that makes me inconsistent...but in my defense: (1)I only have two followers and I'm sure that they really don't care (2)Nothing exciting has happened...at all.
I have 76 days until I check in at Vista Way and I am literally DYING right now. Pretty much ALL of the Fall Advantage people have checked in, and are having the time of their lives...and I'm just sitting here waiting...waiting...waiting. It sucks :(. BUT---I now have an official roommate assignment courtesy of Disney Roommate Matching Notification thinggie! Her name is Michelle, and though I don't know much about her...I do know that we are the same star sign and that she likes a lot of the same FB fan pages that I like....so maybe we will get along. [REPHRASE] Please lord let us get along!!
I emailed Disney and requested a couple of work locations as of yesterday. I have recently decided that I'd much rather work at a resort than in a park. I only requested two locations, but then again there were only two that really spiked my interest. They are as follows:
(1) Boatwright's Dining Hall at Disney's Port Orleans Resorts:
Food style: Southern American.
Description: This underrated spot has the look of a 19th century boat shop, where unseen workers have just taken a break from building a 46-foot cotton lugger. Shipbuilding tools line the walls, and some tables sit underneath the boat's wooden frame. The menu includes choices Yankees rarely see. The menu features jambalaya and a terrific blackened snapper served on grilled grits. Pecan pie is homemade. Wood tables sit on tile floors.
Why I want to work here: Since the food style is southern american, I feel like I would be a perfect fit for Boatwright's. I also love the Disney story behind the restaurant, and that atmosphere that it creates.
(2)
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort:
Food Style: New American
Description: Superb fare is matched by an entertaining view at this Disney landmark, which is perched atop the resort's A-frame tower. Signature items include grilled pork tenderloin and an oak-fired beef filet that's so tender you don't get a steak knife. Sushi is prepared by Okinawa native Yoshie Cabral, famous for her imaginative sauces and use of fruit. The view is better than you'd expect, since the surrounding land is so flat. Sit along the west windows before sundown and you'll see the steam of the Liberty Square Riverboat; diners along the south wall look down at Epcot's Spaceship Earth. You can watch Magic Kingdom's Wishes fireworks show from inside or from rooftop walkways.
Why I want to work here: I've heard many good reviews from cast members who have worked at the California Grill. To work on top of a rooftop everyday would be something new and exciting, and to watch Wishes every night would be simply magical.
Well, I suppose that is all for now. Tell me, fellow future CP's....where did you request to work??

I accepted my role for Full Service Food and Beverage. I will be arriving on August 23 and leaving on January 7! YAYYYYYYY! I'm so happy! To everyone still waiting: please keep thinking purple! I got really depressed and upset at one point, and I understand what you're going through...but just keep thinking purple and all of your dreams will come true!

Starting to worry...
I know that tomorrow is only my two week mark, but I am starting to worry a lot about not getting into the program. I just read where 30,000 people have applied for FA and Fall 2010 and only about 7,000 of them will get in. I've applied kind of late in the game, and then on top of that there was all of that changing around that I did. I want this more than anything that I have ever wanted in my whole life. I NEED to do this program. Right now, I feel as if this program is my only plan as far as what I'm going to do with the rest of my life goes. I am depending on this program to help get me back on track with school and get me OUT of Alabama (hopefully forever!). I have the worst luck in the world...so it would be my luck to get denied this opportunity. God, if I got a denial letter I don't know what I would do. I would probably just lie in bed for days on end, and that's no joke. The thought of doing this program is all that's keeping me going right now. The excitement of a possible acceptance letter is the reason that I wake up in the morning. This really is killing me slowly.

I NEED TO BE ACCEPTED ALREADY!
The recruiter emailed me back today about changing my top 3 roles and season preference. I was about to email her back to update my file when I realized that this would probably mean another week or two of waiting, and even probably a pending status. So I just sent back an email that said not to worry about it, that I had decided to stay with my original preferences. It took her about 5 days to email me back, so I wonder if it will take 5 more days to get my email about NOT changing. I'm pretty sure that I will be a pending status until she sees not to change it. I want my acceptance already! I am awful at waiting, and if you add that to the fact that I want this more than I've ever wanted anything...then it adds up to anxiously checking my email every 5 minutes! I think Disney is making me CRAZY!

I HAVE A FOLLOWER!
YAY for you, follower of mine!
Also, I think I may have finally found someone from my area to go down to Disney with me! She is in my sorority, and I had no idea that she was even interested...but apparently she was extremely interested and thinking about applying when she saw that I did! Yay!
As far as everything else goes....still no purple folder/email...but its only been one week and one day. I want it NOW...but theres not really much that I can do about that.
Okay, so how about a list?
TOP 5 THINGS I WANT TO DO WHILE IN ORLANDO:
(1) Frequent the HP theme park
(2) Hit all 4 Disney parks in one day.
(3) See HP and the Deathly Hallows at midnight on premier night at Downtown Disney
(4) Eat food from every country represented at EPCOT
(5) Wake up Tinkerbell!
I know that's kind of a boring list, but since I've only been to Disney once in my whole life I really don't know what all my options are

Waiting...
I'm SO tired of waiting for the magic purple envelope! It's seriously killing me! I AM SO BORED I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF! Okay, anyway....
About Me:
Briana is my name. I'm currently 18 but will be 19 when I go into the program. Looking at Fall 2010...but will gladly take Fall Advantage! I'm from Florence, AL, and I am a freshman at the University of North Alabama. I'm currently an Undecided major, which I hope will change after my DCP experience. Okay, so likes and dislikes...
Likes: HARRY POTTER! cooking. Glee. music (of all sorts). Quelf (most amazing board game ever, coming with me to Disney). southern home cooking. Alabama Football. Wii (also coming to Disney with me). mylifeisaverage.com. Spontaneous anything (but especially road trips). and of course DISNEY!
Dislikes: Sitting around the house all day. Twilight. Being bored.
I plan on getting a seasonal/yearly whatever pass to Universal Studios while I'm in Orlando so that I can frequent the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Yes, I will be spending lots of time in the Disney parks too.....but Harry Potter has my heart. Also, I plan on going to see the 1st installment of HP and the Deathly Hallows (which comes out on Nov 21) while I'm down there. So if there are anymore HP fanatics who are going to be down there in Fall of 2010...PLEASE let me know because I need people to go with me to do all of these magical HP things!
Well, I guess that's it for now.
